Answers to all your questions

What is a Mayan Womb Massage?

It is a traditional abdominal therapy rooted in Mayan medicine, designed to support reproductive, digestive, and energetic balance. It involves gentle massage of the womb and surrounding organs, rebozo wrapping (manteado), and a grounding, ceremonial approach to healing the feminine center.

Who is this session for?

This massage is ideal for women ages 18 to 75 experiencing menstrual irregularities, pelvic tension, emotional disconnection from their womb, or seeking fertility support. It is also for any woman wishing to reconnect with her womb space, whether for healing, preparation for conception, or deep self-care.

Can I receive this massage if I am on my period?

We recommend waiting until your period has ended, as the womb is already in a state of release. The massage is most effective when the uterus is not actively shedding.

Is this the same as a postpartum massage?

No. This session is not designed for postpartum recovery. We offer a separate Postpartum Womb Massage with techniques and timing specific to that phase. This session focuses on general womb care and reproductive support outside the postpartum period.

Can I book if I have had a C-section, hysterectomy, or other surgery?

Yes, and in many cases it is recommended. This session can support scar tissue softening, energetic reconnection to the womb space, and overall pelvic healing. We will always work respectfully around surgical areas and tailor the session to your needs.

How should I prepare for the session?

Eat a light meal 1 to 2 hours before your appointment and stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing, and please bring socks and a sweater to stay warm and grounded during and after the session.

How often should I receive this massage?

It depends on your goals. For menstrual or fertility support, many women benefit from 2 to 3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. For general womb wellness, seasonal or intuitive sessions may be ideal. Your practitioner will provide guidance during your visit.

Can I receive this massage while trying to conceive?

Yes. This therapy is often part of preconception support. It helps improve circulation to the uterus, reduce stagnation, and bring alignment to the pelvic space.
